"jerminic smith had that corner sealed. so i got a little cute, got a little high-step going, and then they must of got off the block and then i went in there. coach brian ferentz told me, 'don't do that no more.'" and iowa "d" forced another turnover moments later big anthony nelson with the sack and former xavier standout matt

"i don't get that many type of plays. whenever i get the opportunity, i want to make the most of it." greet your brother after the touchdown. what was that like?" "it's pretty cool. it's pretty cool to celebrate with him. when we were kids, we didn't know if we were going to be able to play division 1 football. it's really cool." and the hawks took a 28-7 halftime lead on wadley's second touchdown of the game.. and iowa opened it up a little more in the thrid quarter.. jerminic smith the 12 yards touchdown grab to give the hawkeyes a 35-7 lead.. "a lot went through my mind.

my first college touchdown." miami of ohio answered with two straight touchdowns to cut the lead to 35-21.. but the iowa defense rose to the ocassion again that guy anthony nelson with the sack for another fumble and the hawkeyes put the game on ice with the derrick mitchell td run for the 45-21 win to open the season "there were some mis wins are tough to come by. any time you can start 1-0, that's all you can ask for." "we had some new guys playing, some young guys playing. so, this is really invaluable as far as helping moving them forward." sometimes stats are deceiving and miami actually outgained iowa by 20 yards. the big difference was turnovers; the hawks forced three turnovers, two by anthony nelson on those sacks.
